I want to thank you all for your help with scouts and I want to ask for your help with the Blue & Gold banquet. We are having the banquet on Sunday Feb 8 2009 after the noon mass in the PAC. The food is under control. What we need are door prizes and entertainment. Last year we were light on door prizes, we have almost nothing left over to give away this year. We will take whatever we can get. I would like to have a Grand prize and a couple of good prizes along with the normal small stuff. But that all depends on the donations. The more we are able to get, the more we can give away.

As for entertainment, we have not secured anything as of yet. We do have a potential guest, but that has not been confirmed. Does anyone have any contacts for some age appropriate entertainment? Our budget is tight, but we do have a budget. Please forward any information you may have.

We also need some parents to volunteer. We are coming up on some of our key events of the scouting year: the Blue & Gold banquet, the Pinewood Derby, the St Patrick’s Day Parade, USS New Jersey trip, Beaver Day at Akelaland, and the Rocket Shoot. These events don’t just happen, we need to work together to make them happen. Please consider volunteering some of your time over the next few months to help out with these events. We can discuss the details at our January pack meeting. I want to thank those that are already stepping up and helping and I want to encourage the rest of you to participate.
